Try Me a Drink...

I'm copying my friend GB at Preppy Southern Princess! I want your input on drinks! I'm not very adventurous and I stick to what I know. I also have favorites at specific restaurants.

At Chilis, I am all about the Worlds Freshest Margarita! I am not really a fan of the sweet and sour mix. This margarita uses fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and Milagro tequila.

I love the Long Island Iced Teas at Applebees.

A local mexican restaurant has the best sangria! I only wish I could duplicate it at home!

Tommy Bahama's has awesome Key Lime Martinis! And the pitcher of sangria, is a serious pitcher! Think: never ending.

The Fresh Berry Martini at Ruth's Chris is also good!

Now you might be thinking I've had a lot of experience, that is a big fat negative! I just know a few!

I'm looking for a drinks I can get anywhere. I'm a fan of rum and diet coke. I'm looking for more!

Easy Sangria

I promised a few days ago a Sangria recipe.  It is so easy to make.  You can make it strong or weak to your taste preference.  There is white and red Sangria, but I tend to lean towards red.

A little history about Sangria.  Sangria is popular is Spain because it is cheap and easy to get drunk off (perfect party drink!) and easy to make.  It is all about cheap.  Don't use your good bottles of wine.  You also want to use a large clear pitcher.  It makes for a pretty display.  I have a nice set of Mexican blown glasses.

So here it is:

This is what I usually use.  You can use any fruit you like!  Raspberries are good, too.  Experiment! the possibilities are endless.  The longer it sits the more fruity it tastes.  Don't add the Sprite until your ready to serve it (so it doesn't go flat!).

Try it and let me know what you think!  This last batch I whipped up was amazing with the fajitas.
