What's for Dinner?!

Tonight, I made Oven-Crisp Chicken Tenders. They were delicious.  I forgot to take a picture, but I will leave you with the recipe.  But know that they must be good if I'm sharing the recipe.

-1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
-2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
-1 package Italian salad dressing mix, 7 ounces
-large zip-top bag
-1 pound chicken tenderloins
-vegetable cooking spray

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Combine bread crumbs, cheese and dressing mix in zip-top bag and shake to mix.  Add chicken to bread crumb mixture and seal tightly.  Shake to coat, pressing chicken to coat well.  Spray baking sheet with cooking spray.  Remove chicken with tongs and arrange single layer on baking sheet; do not allow chicken to touch.  Spray top of chicken with cooking spray.  Bake for ten minutes.  Turn chicken and bake for five additional minutes.

B&N Nook Totes

I don't know about you, but I LOVE tote bags. Like seriously. can't. get. enough. I have way too many. This morning, Lilly Pulitzer announced that they had teamed up with Barnes and Noble and designed a beach tote perfect for carrying B&N's Nook. I don't own a Nook but I sure will be snatching one of these totes!

The totes are made of out a durable Nylon, with cotton braided handles and a PVC lining. The only thing thats specfically for the Nook is the removable pouch. I'm sure I can find a different use for that pouch, say my iPod or phone. I don't want either of those getting sandy or wet!

For now, Lilly P. has two patterns available on B&N's website. You have a choice of: Secret Garden (pink and green) or Buena Vista (blue, white and green).

Secret Garden ($69.95)

Buena Vista ($69.95)

I just recieved my L.L.Bean Tote that I posted about here.  But these Lilly Pulitzer totes are more ideal for school use.

Are you going to snatch one up? What print?

First Day of Summer

Today marks the first day of summer. What better way to celebrate the start of summer than with Lilly Pulitzer. Today is also the first ever, National Wear Your Lilly Day. (Not that I ever need a reason to wear Lilly!) Today I sported a Nadja in Hotty Pink She's a Piston and Silver McKims! What did you wear?

($248)

The Colorful Gator was out in Gainesville spotting people in Lilly Pulitzer, with a chance to receive a twenty-five dollar gift certificate. Sadly, I wasn't spotted! I am hoping those that were spotted post to their Facebook!

The Gator baseball team also played a double elimination round today against Florida State. The team made a huge comeback in the ninth but it wasn't enough! Good effort Gator baseball!

L.L.Bean

It was way back in March, when I was home on Spring Break that the Spring/Summer L.L.Bean catalog arrived in the mail. On the cover was this beautiful tote bag perfect for spending days on the beach or going to the pool or even just because I love tote bags and believe you can never have too many.

From L.L.Bean

There was even a special price to order two. (I thought I would surprise someone with one!) AND, there was a ten dollar gift card for future use! So I jumped on this and order quickly. But apparently I didn't order quick enough, as they were already backordered on L.L.Bean's website. Darn. I. REALLY. wanted. this. tote. So what did I do? I ordered it anyway but it wasn't supposed to ship until June. Sadly, you can no longer order this tote - it is completely sold out! I have been waiting for this tote for over two months. Please L.L.Bean, ship it soon! I can't wait to use it! I get giddy just looking at it. I mean it is pink & green.

Dry Shampoo...

If it wasn't for a few bloggers (SL:Preppy Style and PIMP) I wouldn't know about this magical product! Dry shampoo is great! It keeps my hair refreshed without shampooing it every single day. My hair is thick and very annoying to dry. Plus I want to keep the damage minimal. This is when I turn to my favorite product - dry shampoo! I tend to wash and style my hair every three days and I use dry shampoo for the two days in between. Sometimes I only need it on the last day before I wash it.

There are many brands out there and I have used a few of them, including Oscar Blandi powder and Ojon aerosol. While the powder versions last longer and can blend roots, I prefer the aerosol. This way my scalp doesn't look grey. This is why I turned to Tresemme. At 5 dollars a bottle, the aerosol is more affordable. I heard about this product a few months ago but it took me a while to find it. I've used it for a few days and I love it!

Do you or have you used dry shampoo? Do you have any brands you just love and I should try?
